Open car transport reco?

It's been a while since I've been on here and this is a lame post topic :o, but.....does anyone have a recommendation for a car transport company to ship from east to west coast? It's for a friend's daily driver and open transport is fine.

Here's a site you may want to check out - it's described as 'Reviews & Ratings of Auto Transporters Posted by Customers': Transport Reviews.com - Ratings and Reviews of Auto Transport Companies - Your Source For Finding a Quality Auto Transporter!

I'd be cautious about that Transport Reviews site--it's definitely a pay to play ad gimmick and not the objective consumer-driven resources it claims to be. I agree that DAS is a good company, as is A-1 Auto Transport, based on what I've heard.

Whatever you use DO NOT USE Magic Carpet Transport, they are a bunch of thieves and would try to get you. I paid for the following options:
Door to door
Upper tier
Covered transport

The day of transporting from San Fco to NY the owner was forced to drive the car 5 miles to load the car, the driver would not drive to his home, despite the fact that he could.
Upper tier- my car was never placed on the upper tier despite that I paid extra for that and that there were cars on top of my car that could have leaked on top of my convertible. The excuse the driver gave me was that the battery went dead---he left the key open and drained a brand new OPTIMA battery. Then he had the testicles to charged me $300.00 before he would off load the car for having to handle my car more times than required because it had a dead battery. Thank God that I paid with Amex, I reported this to Amex and got my $$ back.

Close transport-got that and to my front door. He was late 2 days.
I hope that these are reasons enough to not use them. Oh by the way the office manager he is B------h of the 1st kind, oh well it is their loss.
Cheers
Lou
