Well to add to my garage of toys I have gone out and purchased a Steen Skybolt. Before you go searching the automotive catologues its an aircraft  I have chased up the build history and the construction plaque - as it is recorded under FSA rules - indicating that it was built by; Gary Deem 2612 Elmwood Drive Adrian Michigan. USA After having a look on Google maps and deciding his garden in far neater than mine I sent him a business card. But knowing how small our world is I thought I would ask the obvious; Do you know of him Is he your Neighbourhood Is he living close by you Is he in your State phone book... Sounds silly but you never know..:3DSMILE: Anyway I would appreciate any leads..:MECOOL: And NO I don't have $4,000,000 in a Nigerian account that I'll share with him..:D Cheers guys. Thanks for any leads and comments. Bernie |

Darn Bernie, That is a sharp looking airplane. Just be careful when you start flying it. Ron :) |
Thanks Ron,
Long time since we have spoken. A bit far to ask you to drop in and see him.. Hope all is good mate. Bernie |
Bernie,
Yes it has been quite some time since we last spoke. I have been busy and also had some health problems but am doing as well as anyone my age can expect now. How are you going to get the plane home? I would guess maybe by ship, but I have never had any experience in moving a plane across the ocean. Ron :) |
Ron,
Sorry I may not have covered that but it is already here - first registered in Australia about five years ago. They break the wings down and pack into a container then our aircraft engineers put them back prior to inspection. I know its a bit of a shot in the dark but you never know with these forums - someone knows someone who is at the golf club or air club etc. Take care mate. |

On the pad at our local airport. |
Bernie:
I grew up in Michigan, but a bit far away from Adrian, I'm afraid. Hope all is well with you. Plane looks great - have fun flying! -Joe |
Tnx Joe.
I posted over on the Michigan site. I have also just sent a business card and short note to the address on the plaque. You never know.. I have asked a local in Michigan to check the phone book also. Again you never know.. |
:)
Bernie, This is a great picture. I bet it is a ball to fly around in that plane. Enjoy and have a great time with it. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/atta...tact-image.jpg Ron ;) |
