2003 Shell Valley Cobra?

(2nd post newbie). Folks I've stumbled upon a 2003 Shell Valley Cobra. Shell Valley seems to have a wonderful reputation and this car I'm looking at was definitely a weekend driver (not a mega $ show car). Is there anything particular I should be aware of concerning that vintage for Shell Valley?

Some details on the drive train/suspension would help determine what to look out for??

Since the company is still in business and super friendly and helpful it makes it easy to get any parts you need or answers to tech questions. Mine was built in the late '80's and fiberglass is quality and has really held up. I'm big, 6'2" @ 260 and lots of room without modification. Look is also very correct compared to some others if that matters to you. Very happy with mine. Not one of the "top 3" but superior quality at good price.

I built my Shell Valley in 1992 and I continue to drive it today. They're still selling cars, and Dana Dankert is extremely knowledgeable in their product. You can spend a lot more for a Cobra replica, and Cobra people will recognize it when you've done so. But, for the money, a SV is a good bargain, in my mind. If I were going to start another build tomorrow, I'd look strongly at them again.

Thanks!

The Cobra I found looks in super condition. Very reasonably priced but 2003 vintage. Wasn't sure if that vintage has been superceded with other kit improvements since then. I've agreed to purchase pending in person inspection and am working out the logistics.

If the car meets what you like when you go inspect it and the price is good, that would be a good way to get one. If you want to upgrade something later on it will be easy to get parts from the company. Sounds like a winning deal to me. Good luck and you will enjoy it.

Ron :)
