Can you ID this frame stamp?

I have the number 7C55Fxxxxxx stamped on my frame. Does anyone recognize the manufacturer? Its located on the upper left tubular frame in the engine compartment.

It's a "home modified" 1967 Galaxy style VIN

7=1967
C=Ontario assembly plant (although for 1967 I believe that would need to be a "B")
55=2 dr. Fastback hardtopwith a bench seat
F=sorry, no "F" code engine code till 1968
the last 6 digits would be the chassis number, starting with 100001 and going up from there.

Bill S.

Bill, that would make some sense as the Carfax showed some activity in Alberta Canada. Can you tell me more about the Ontario assembly plant? It seems you have some experience with this. Much appreciated.

However it seems odd that a Ford Galaxie frame (or part of the frame) could fit a cobra in even the slightest manner. The main frame of the car is rectangular. I'm still stumped. The vin# begins with RBX.... which doesn't seem to help me.

As I said above, it's a homemade VIN that someone stamped into the frame to get it titled and registered. It has nothing to do with the actual manufacturer, but instead was made up by the end user who built the car. In the 80's & 90's this was quite common to see
