Windsor headers for early Lone Star

I've been trying to get an answer from Ultimate Classics as to whether they could build me a set of headers for my early Lone Star (1997 vintage) They don't answer my emails, so I assume they just aren't interested. Does anyone have a set out there they might be interested in selling? Thanks!

I have been watching to see if anyone responded to this. I purchased a "built" Lone Star in April and joined this forum. If there are any Lone Star owners here they must be huddled in a corner some where because I never see evidence of them.

I did notice that a guy on the Ultimate Classics forum was trying to contact them to purchase a body for his build. He also had called and emailed and was getting worried but by the end of the thread they had contacted him.

If they are just having growing pains, they should probably make mention on their web site. I'm kind of afraid I'm going to break something I can't replace.

Thanks for the reply. I wouldn't worry too much about breaking parts, most of the things on these cars are readily available and can be fixed by a competent mechanic if you don't do that sort of thing. That being said, the headers are custom made on a special jig that they have, so therein lies my dilemma. I have a friend who does custom exhaust, but he said the time to build a set of headers for me would be too time consuming. I guess I'll have to stick with my 351C for the time being. It runs fine, just wanted more cubic inches.

I have been building my 427GT for the last year and have been working with the guys at Ultimate Classics. I do know that they are currently working with a couple of places to get their headers made. They are currently working on their small and big block ford headers from a local company.

Thanks, Hawk! Maybe they will be able to help me, after all. Hopefully they will contact me at some point.

I have three header flange plates that I would sell. They are 3/8" thick. $20 each plus shipping.

Well now, I also have been wanting to get hold of Brian at Lone Star. They are not answering.

As I hear it, the company was purchased and going through changes.

So, for your Windsor heads, Dwight has plates for a reasonable price ( you do not want to know what water jet will cost to cut those ).

Then it is a trip to the welder.

I am not sure there is another option unless you go custom. Like a set of SS pipes. Might get away with $4,000.

Hope this helps.

It helps, Tru! $4000 isn't going to happen. Ultimate did contact me, and they are anxious to help. Thanks to all for your advice!
