Chromeplating source NY-NJ area

Good morning folks:
I am looking at re-chroming my rear bumper and over-riders, however, my chroming guy is out of business. I had a quote from Jon's Wright in OH at $1000.00 that is outrageously high (in my opinion) . Does anyone know of a reasonable source within the NY-NJ area that I can use?
Thanks
Lou, II

I know it's not in NY/NJ, but I've been driving by Vermont Plating in Rutland Vermont for years and was always tempted to stop in to check out the operation. (802) 775-5759

Open mouth insert foot

I gave Vermont Plating a quick call and he said anything 3' in length would be marginal at best. And of course nothing pot metal so unless the bumper length is less than 3' maybe he could help. Sounded like a straight up guy.

Tks Chuck:
My bumper exceeds that by a bit but it does, the over riders would be fine though but I rather send all the pieces to the same guy.

I might be out of touch with reality but I just got an $800.00 quote for a 44" X 4" rear bumper + 2 over-riders to be re-chromed, there is a very slight pitting on the bumper but nothing serious... Is this for real or is this reasonable pricing???? I gather that for that price I can get a new stainless steel bumper. Any thoughts anyone?
Tks
Lou

I think I will replace this bumper with a stainless steel one, does anyone have a source for these bumpers in stainless steel?

While I haven't used this company personally a good friend had all of his Harley pieces done here Home

The quality was great in my opinion. I know they are not in NY or NJ put PA is an adjoining state.

Try Sandy's Bumper Mart in Syracuse. I've used them a few times for bike and car parts. Good work, not sure how their prices compare.

Will do. I just tried Factory five Stainless steel but the bumper will not fit my car.
