CSX3170 SCCA pro solo (drag launch)

Bruce's first pro solo launch with street tires. His third run had a .550 light with a 4.6 200 ft time. The first run looked better but not as fast!

Was that an 1/8 mile? Seemed kinda short.

Did London for several years back at the turn of the century...ahem, I actually did the first burnout. We were all coming to the line with cops standing between the runners for about an hour. We were told by the overly cautious powers-that-were to leave "briskly." Finally had enough of that crap so I flat asked the cop if we could do burnouts the next time we went up to the line. His response, motioning to the other cops, was "we wondered what you guys were waiting for." Probably thought we were a bunch of pussies. Since then, tires have been destroyed. ;)

Many many stories about those years...maybe a few of us need to go back and make some new ones.

Tim...autocross.

yes I remember that

and next year we had three blocks of new asphalt

and then we could hit 101 and a few could do 104 -108

yep those were the days

No that is a practice start for todays ProSolo only 200' the car did a .550 reaction time and a 4.6 200 foot time car is great. Brakes work now with the floating rotors. No fan belt problems either we pulled a maximum of 1.57 G's cornering load on Rival S tires they are very good! Average G's are around 1.3 so suspension is doing it's job too. Scott as a huge lead in the class and I am last do to pylon penalties. My excuse: out late and old. Nothing counts till tomorrow though so all is good so far. I am very pleased with the way the car is working now just need to drive it. The National is being run on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week we are running the CAM challenge today and Sunday.

alwaysracin is my co-driver Scott Fraser

Floating rotors were the ticket to 90% of our brake problems I plan on putting on Brembo Calipers to get the last 10%.
