Halibrand Knockoff Centers Color

I need to paint the grey centers of my Halibrand Knockoffs....what would be the best color over the counter spray paint to match the original color closely? I've notices some with lighter colors and some with darker colors so I'm a little confused.

Hopefully there is a rattle can that will get me close!

Why paint them? Polish and clear coat......

Original color????

Well they were delivered with Dow#7 which was a cold tint chromium solution. Race cars (289) were painted white and the 427 cars also started gold tint however ended up black centered.

My guess was that there was no specified color probably what was on hand. Or the gold tint went towards dark shade after brake dust collected and thickened.
Black, dark grey, chromium gold or white ......

I remember the first time I was with Jack and 3020, the black painted mag wheels were done with a brush. Brush hair and streaks were included...

Recommend that you don't rattle can them. Take them to a shop and have them 2 pack painted. You will get proper cross-linking of the hardener to the clearcoat which will make for a more durable finish.

The other thing to having them professionally painted is that you can choose the perfect colour, not what is limited to the rattle can range.
