Mecum offering 427 Cobra October 10th but..no SN
It appears to be part of a collection. Can't understand why they have a number for one of the Shelbys but no CSX number for the Cobra, which they say was in one owner's hands for 30 years.
Here's their catalog description

Originally street version ? (dash) Tag reads "Real One", can't make out the state, but someone will recognize the design. Wonder what it looked like before the 2015 resto ?
Beautiful car, wished I had seen that color before I painted mine !!

I believe the car belongs to (or did until recently) Marshall Lowe from Cary, IL, CSX3272. I've seen it many times...

Wondering will this car bring 500k+ if what I am reading is correct? Seems this car has legal rights to the original csx# but in reality is a Brian A. Autokraft body and chassis from when the original car was wrecked and switched to a new body and chassis.
You would think value is similar to Continuation Ally Cobras or a Autokraft Cobra with a premium for owning the original csx#. Will be interesting to see what it sells for.

Looks a lot different than it did 5 or six years ago. Use to have lots of patina. Cool car.

Definitely a converted street car. Nice car though.
I would call and get the CSX# and confirm its a 427SO. 427SOs are actually 425ci and the 428 is actually 427ci (technically speaking).

I noted a non-original add on to the rear suspension. Projecting forward from the rear wheel is a strut that resembles a 60s traction master. Any theories?

Doesn't surprise me. The car was heavily modded to reproduce an SC anyway. Question is whether the engine is a real 427 and if so whether it was the original engine.

IMHO, so many street Cobras have magically morphed into SCs that it is almost a non-issue as far as value goes, but screwing with the mechanicals?

Marco: I believe that to be linkage for the rear sway bar.

Original engine? How about the frame and body? As I understood it, the original car was wrecked and the body/chassis was replace with a replica from Autocraft.

Quite a history in according to the Registry. Current production Cobras are far more "real ones" than that one IMHO.
