I think he called it a "Cobrette"?

We held our monthly outdoor meeting last night and a guy walked up to our gathering (don't know if it was coincidence or he sought us out), but he explained that he bought a Cobrette kit that was 10 - 15 years old that was never started. He says he's started it a little and tried to do a some research, but very limited info and the directions are REALLY lacking. He explained that it is on a '69 Vette chassis that has been completely re-done and re-finished.

Just curious if anyone is familiar or has any information. (btw, what is the wheelbase on a '69 Vette?

I saw a Cobrette (or the same idea) at a car cruise near Phoenix in the early 90s. To my eyes it was one of those cars that doesn't quite look right. The proportions are wrong. It's kinda like welding up the back two doors on a four door car to make it into a two door. It just didn't work for me.
