I understand the single carb and turkey pan also, when you lift hood on 427 cobra that's what you expect to see. Bennett car has space frame and push rod suspension so the illusion is lost, free's me up to do whatever I want lol.

Do you know where i can source a couple of the OE secondary spring pot tops with the balance tube ports on them, like you have on your (Dan) car? I have the aftermarket black pots with quick change removable tops and like the more OEM appearing tops better. I'd love to find that fuel log like Troy has on his too, to replace the stainless braided lines I presently have. TIA, Phill Pollard |
Phil - I got them from Summit. They are Holley parts however they are not identical to the ones from the 60s. I don't know if exact originals are available from anyone.
I think this is it. Holley Vacuum Secondary Diaphragm Housings and Covers 20-28 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing PS - that price is for a pair of them. |

Do you have a Custom Showboards site for your new #472 ERA? EDIT: Never mind, unless you want to show it off. I found it. Phill Pollard |

I had Acton Custom Enterprises (Mickmate on this site) fabricate a custom polished fuel log to suit my application. Im sure he could do the same for you. http://actoncobra.com/index.php?main_page=index EDIT: the one in the pic, looks just like mine :) http://actoncobra.com/images/SSdual%...20(Medium).JPG Quote:

Here's the URL for Troy's car; ERA Cobra 472 For Sale Troy creates *excellent* web sites as you can see from this one. Phill Pollard |
I haven't officially announced that my car is for sale yet. However, I did create a page in advance. I will be officially listing it in the spring. I still have to replace the ring gear on the flywheel this winter as there is a chipped tooth. I'm nearly $2K into "sorting" this car for the next owner. Of course, I was told it was in perfect condition when I bought it.

Sorry if I gave away any of your secrets. But you DO make really nice websites for your cars. You ever read the book "Sell The Sizzle, Not The Steak"? Phill Pollard |
Phil, no worries. I don't have any secrets as I'm an up front guy. This is getting way off topic, but I'm interested in your thoughts on sizzle vs steak. Fee free to email me to continue this dialogue or we can always talk on the phone, too.

Thank you Dimis. I found a couple on e-bay with the barbed nipples like the OEM fuel logs have. The prices are wide between two I found. One claims to be Stainless Steel and is near 100 bucks. The other appears to be mild steel and is less than half. I see the one you posted a pic of has threaded nipples. I'm not sure which would be best but in light of the fact that I'm trying to keep my REPLICA to look as 'authentic' as possible, I should probably go for the barbed nipple style. Either way, thanks for the reply. Phill Pollard |
