A lead on race screen attaching

Hi all,

I'm after the metal strip or fiberglass strip that attaches the race screens to the body.

Does anyone have a mould or a lead to a metal manufacturer

Thanks guys.

Nick Acton might be able to help, he sells the full assembly:

I think I have one in storage that I ran on my Kirkham FIA. Just PM me an offer and your shipping info. I'll send it to you. It is the complete screen but you could keep the lexan as a spare.

Dean,

If he's not interested, I am.

Nick (Acton) built a "double comp" for me and I absolutely love it, I will most likely never go back.
Just be prepared for considerable fitting, trimming and finishing if its being built sight unseen.
That's not a jab at Nick, just the nature of the beast in my opinion.

This one is in carbon, but $$$

Air flows inside and outside for reduced turbulence and lower drag.

That's one very interesting bonnet (Hood?). Can we have something about what you are doing there?

How about making your own out of aluminum?

I did - and while a bit time consuming, the result was satisfying.

You need a strip of aluminum about 4" X 48", access to a bender, and a shrinker -

Your pattern is the footprint of the original windshield.

That's just my little twin 5" ram air system, but let's not hijack. :)

I believe FFR also sells a screen that doesn't need a lower frame.

Thanks - please post a thread about it some time - in fact all the changes you are making to the car.
