I have watched many Cobra/car videos and the Audio is horrible. The audio is half of the experience.

For $20 you can have good Audio!

I have this mic, it has a long cord. Wherever I mount the camera I can still put the mic where ever I want. I tend to wrap it around the rear view mirror on the dash. I also added a furry mic cover. I looked at a recent video posted of a Pace lap with bad audio which motivated me to post this.

Here is a sample if you look at the mirror you can see the mic. This was shot with a Gopro. TURN IT UP

Sounds good, I had a GoPro and used it once but only got terrible clicking sounds on my video very frustrating. Sounded like the camera was hitting against the case but couldn't figure it out. Check it out below

Wow that is a bit distracting. Must be something with the case or the mount.

If you pull the camera out from behind the windshield you get a better picture and the sound goes to hell. That's when the mic is the ticket.

How did you connect it to your GoPro. Is there another cable needed as my GoPro Hero 3 doesn't have an audio jack. It shows a mic hookup but it uses the same connector as the charger.

Something like this. I would get genuine GoPro.
