Side Exhaust Sound?

Currently I have steel side exhausts on my cobra with the auger type muffler with no issues. I am going to have new exhausts built out of stainless. Are the auger mufflers the loudest acceptable with little restriction or is there any other type mufflers to look at?

I'm running 4" sidepipes with no mufflers. Sound level and restriction level are perfect for me.:JEKYLHYDE

Take a look at Classic Chambers Exhaust. He has a couple videos and sound clips on the site. I ended up going with them and like em. Good sound and loud, just like a Cobra should sound

I run 3" cobra packs from Classic Chambered Exhaust. They are louvered inside but the louvers are small compared to the old exhaust I had. I have no idea what was on there. I measured the ID before I welded them up and If I remember right they measured just under 3" ID. Night and day compared to the last set I had although those were 2 1/2 and not a true 2 1/2. I don't believe I have much restriction at all. I had to re-jet my carb ^^. Compared to auger I can't give you a caparison, RareIron has that information.

I gained 75 rwhp switching from Auger to Classic chamber with no other modifications. Engine size/HP will greatly affect the benefit.
