Seats

Where does one go for Cobra seats?

The seats in my Contemporary are a bit narrow, and they put my body 2-3" too high.

I'd like some leather seats, in the original Cobra shape/style, but that fit my body properly. It gets old having to duck my head to see under the sun visors.

How about a comp seat? Kirkey

I can also make a seat that follows more along the lines of an original comp seat.

Not sure what seat tracks you have but maybe the seat could be mounted lower?

For the record Contemporary seats, if from factory, are great seats but 289 sized. Bit small.

You can do comp seats however I have had great luck with ERA as their seats are top notch. Pricey but comfort 427 sized seats.
I have recommended ERA for 4000 series reacements and have had many thanks for referencing them.

My vote ERA all the way. Assuming comp is not your style, if so Craig should be your first stop.

A good upholstery person can do a lot with a seat. U could add gelled packs or heaters also if that's your thing. Ask around prices vary. Mine are shaped for me in two tone leather was just over 600$ for the pair but it wasn't a rush job just a fill in for him. Good luck

ERA Seats

I had thought about ERA seats. They look like my best option. I just hate to spend a lot of money on seats only to find they don't fit like I want.

When I get a chance, I may call ERA.

They ERA are the best with bladder and steel frame.
Just can't do that with gell packs, foam and magic.
CCX seats are smaller yet still great if you fit.

If you do go to ERA for seats and seat height is an issue - they will cut the thickness of the foam in the seat bottom so that you sit lower in them. Still comfortable due to the foam and rubber bladder construction.
