I know the current business that manufactures the Paxton is in the process of fabricating / prototyping the setup for a Ford FE engine.

Paging rodneym...

You should contact Craig Conley at Paradise Wheels in San Marcos, CA.

gn_n_60_shelby,

Craig Conley from Paradise Wheels in San Marcos, CA is the vintage Paxton man. He'll hook you up with the SC's and a ton of great advice on cam specs and tuning.

When I was working on my Twin Paxton rig, me and Tom Lucas of FE Specialties waited a long time because Craig was "soon developing" a ready made Twin Paxton FE setup. That was 5 years ago. He was in the middle of a move, doing TV/movie cars, etc. - just too busy. If you want the original style steel brackets, Cobra Automotive should be able to help. They do Twin Paxtons, too.

If you go the vintage route, then you'll need the Edelbrock X-F66 intake. And if you do that, then of course you'll need the huge "hickey" hoodscoop...%/ I just sold a NOS X-F66 last week...;) If you want a better breathing intake, go with the Dove tunnel wedge. It's an inline intake and it will fit in a stock CSX/KMP hood with the ally bracket that Tom designed - check my gallery for a pic of it. Kirkham also did one - a webbed and intricate work of art that they used on a SOHC Twin Paxton. I'm sure they could whip something amazing, too. There's a ton of "lessons learned" that I'd be happy to share.

If you do go vintage, you want to get in touch with Geary Sarno. He's got about 40k miles on his Twin Paxton FE. Our setups are about as night and day as you can go on Twin Paxtons, but I've still learned a lot from him. Real nice and knowledgable guy. Goes by "Aggressor" here.

Good luck.

I have always enjoyed unique propulsion designs hard to imagine how you could stuff twin Paxtons under the hood of a BB Cobra. For that matter it must be a beast when those pumps start to spool up. I would really enjoy gazing upon a Cobra setup like that and talking to the owner.
I once considered a belt driven supercharger on my car moving the alternator down low would give me the space as long as the supercharger was not to bulky.

Met a guy a couple of years ago at the Mustang show in Huntsville Ala. He was from Pa. who had a pair of Paxtons on his Cobra. I don't remember his name but I think some of the guys on this forum know him.

That's Geary's Cobra.

Correction, "Aggressor" is Geary's nickname. His cc id is "Geary_L._Sarno".

PS: if anyone knows who owns the white Kirkham Twin Paxton (in stock hood) with blue interior, please give me his contact info. Thanks!

How much does a complete single Paxton set up weigh?

I suppose if matters if you're autocrossing but, other than that, does it really matter?
