Just my $.02 worth...but the hood scoop bears a striking resemblance to Shell Valley's scoop...tall and squared off (but the chassis looks like a scratch-built, not one of Shell Valley's).

My replica has a parallel 4-bar rear suspension WITH a panhard rod, all attached to a Ford 9" Traction-Loc differential....it is absolutely the best handling Cobra replica I have ever driven. It may not be as "original" as the IRS, but it sure does work, and works well! My car hooks up VERY well right off the line and that is with 20 year old BFG T/A's...can't wait to get some decent tires on the rear axles.

Just a comment on my experiences with the setup you have.

As for the OP's contention I was looking at the outrigger and the "steel" floor, I'll reference my picture again, notice the outrigger on the right (about even with the poorly placed oil filter), and the main rail on the left, and what most certainly looks like a piece of plywood to the left of the main rail. Could be sheet steel, but seeing it is not bolted to anything, it's structural worth is not much.

I take it the OP traded a car and is happy with his new shiny toy, if so, good for him. I still say I see 10K in needed upgrades to make the car safe to drive.

Also, your fuel line is pinched between the body and the frame, a fireball just waiting to happen. Also, your right rear shock body is a bit too short for the application Want to pull a front wheel and post a wide shot of the suspension set up? Perhaps a shot of the entire front cross member while you are at it?

"YerDugliness" thanks for your input - I have seen parallel 4 links on many types of cars, great for "off the line" when you get the instant center right.

Yep....You can make that a nice driver for very little money ....That frame looks pretty stout to me..

I stand corrected, as the picture was indeed confusing as far as structural member labeling and the interesting transmission cooler, that will have to go.

Is that filter for the transmission then?

What about the rest of what I posted about?

When you get it up on a lift, you'll need to take better detail pictures, as showing a shiny body (which is what caught your heart) is fine, but it does not help you with the safety factor
