Road trip to Coker Tire cruise

Jeff and I are pulling out early Saturday morning to drive the B&B Cobra to Chattanooga Tenn. to the
Coker Tire Spring Cruise.

Starts at 8 AM EST so we have to leave early to get there late. The Chattanooga Cobra Club will have front row parking. Somebody knows somebody.
I'll get there a little later so I might not get to park with them.
They usually block off about four square blocks for all the cars, trucks and bikes. There are a lot of parking lots within that area and they will be full. Also the streets will be full of cars.

Vendors and food vendors will be there. Honest Charlie's and Coker Tire will be open. They have a museum with lots of bikes and cars. You can walk through their shops.

Full day of automotive history, art and things that burn gas!

It will be a 320 plus mile trip for us. Good roads all the way:)
I check the oil, water and have a full tank of gas. I put the side curtains in because it's cool and I hate cold weather.
I'm ready.

we are back

350 miles today in the Cobra

60 degrees with a lot of wind, maybe 100 mph, I don't know. Driving east to Chattanooga I think it was a head wind. Coming back is was blowing out of the south 20 -30 mph. But the sun was shining!!!

It was two years ago that I attended the Coker Cruise. Big difference this years. I heard Coker tell someone that they had a 4 block by 6 block area roped off and a lot (LOT) of cars had to park out side of that area. I was one of them.

PEOPLE 10's of thousands of people. What a mob

It took us two hours to get food in a restaurant a block from Coker Tire.

Yep if you want to see cars and truck this was the place.
The Chattanooga Cobra Club was there in force. I saw a couple from the Nashville area there. 31 Shelbys from, I think the Huntsville Ala area, were there

I wish I had got there about three hours earlier

Ask the Coker people to make a billboard tire in radial format for the cobra community.
He would sell thousands!
