3 piece wheels

I have a 96 Excalibur with 16 inch Compomotive 3 piece wheels and the bolts that hold them together are getting rusty. They are 7mm by 24 or 28mm(can't remember). Ferry head style I was told. 7mm are kind of an odd size. Any one know of a supplier?

Thanks StoneCat

Bolts

Thanks for the tip. Ordered some today.

Glad to be of assistance. Did you go with stainless, chrome, black or gold?

StoneCat 04-28-2016 02:25 PM

Chrome

Torquepartz had the identical replacement bolt. Only partially threaded. Kind of spendy($340) for all 4 wheels but I don't mind spending on quality. They're coming from England so I hope I'm not disappointed.

$340 is pricey for nuts and bolts but they are a specialty item so they can get that know of money for them. Great wheel but you can't purchase new Compomotive HB wheels because they are out of production. I have a nice spare set of four 16 inch Compomotive HB wheels that I would sell for $500. They are a Ford 5 bolt pattern and include a full set of mounting lug nuts. Can send pics if you are interested in a spare set of wheels.

16 inch wheels

Thanks for the offer. My wheels are in good shape except for the bolts. Tire options are limited for 16 inch wheels. I think in the future I'll get different size wheels.

TexasSnake 04-30-2016 06:17 PM

I really like the quality and look of the Compomotive wheels. However, you are certainly correct regarding the 16 inch tire selection. I was running 17 inch Compomotive wheels and damaged a front that could not be repaired. I picked up the set of 16 inch and was thinking I would run a 16 front 17 rear combination. Decided to just go a different direction and purchased a new set of the Shelby endorsed American Racing 17 inch wheels mounted with Nitto 555 Extreme rubber from Bob Lacey at Vintage Wheels. Bob was great to work with and I could not be more pleased with the setup. However, I now have a full set of 16 inch Compomotive wheels and three 17 inch that need to find a new home.
