Here's the media release on SA's Web site: Shelby.com
As noted in the release, "Shelby American to offer its first turnkey racecar available worldwide" - there is no mention of the cars being legal for street use.

I wondered the same thing. There are only 15 of them to be made too.

I couldn't find any mention about street use either. You would think that either way they would mention it. Possibly trying to use the new legislation allowing for limited "turn-key" cars?

I had that thought, that's why I carefully crawled through the media release. Nope, no mention of street use. It was my understanding Ford had no emissions-legal street engine, much less one based on an aluminum block 289!

Pretty soon the standard Shelby replicas will be more rare than the limited editions.
I just love this statement:
"While the materials and construction methods have improved over the years, each of these Cobras will be a genuine Shelby..."
Ya, uh huh. Yes, a bit has changed since 1963. But they're 'genuine." %/:rolleyes:

"New and Improved!" has been a marketing gimmick since the beginning of time.:LOL:**)

I read this $hit and think to myself, who writes this stuff and does he or she have a thumb up their a$$.
It's new and improved, yet somehow it's still genuine and authentic. Seriously?

Not that I have heard. Last I heard, only GM LS stuff. I'm sure things are ever evolving...

I'm just pissed that Shelby is building a replica of my replica. Anyone know a good lawyer? JK
