oversteer problem, great help!

to all the guys who inputted to me on this problem. your advice is invaluable. my guy actually fed off some of the questions you had of me. so the project is optimistically underway. it looks like a couple of front tires and a new rack, 20:1 are also in the plan. i'll send an update as soon as I have some results to report. again, many thanks for your great help!

"oversteer" problem. project complete!

like i said in an earlier post, your input was invaluable. parts replaced, things examined, stuff adjusted and i have a NEW car. it drives like a dream! (although it's still a cobra and that's still the fun of it) this has brought an entirely new dimension into my cobra stylin' and crusin'. wowsa! simply can't find a way to thank you guys (and ladies?) enough.

hope some day to be able to repay in some way. many, many, thanks!

p.s. i did change the rack to a 20:1. no tire changes yet.

Please reply to the original topic with what you actually replaced. People appreciate the solution in the same place.

Glad it was simple!

Tony, thanks for the heads up. as you can see I really don't know the protocols when using the club cobra site. I have some homework to do. if I've got your message right, I should have replied to the guys using my original post?

as to all that was done to the car I really can't say authoritatively as I'm not much of a mechanic. I told my guys what I was advised. they understood to some degree. the guys on this site are genius as far as I'm concerned. at any rate, the overall alignment looks really good. some fittings were replaced. (a.n. fittings) and the rack. tires to be addressed next. other than that I'm not much help. like I said apparently I have a bit of homework to do before I engage here. slightly embarrassed.

thanks again for the heads up.

Now I see that "Oversteer" coming up the third time -

You don't have an over steer problem - you have may a sensitive steering setup, at most.

Here a picture which explains over and under steer.
