Windshield Replacement (Arntz)
 

After looking closer at the windshield on my Arntz replica
I found these numbers at the bottom of the glass

KVW 105 B2 (it may be R2 at the end)

VIRACON
Safety Float
ASI M40 DOT 129

It measures about 47 inches across the top
and about 54 inches across the bottom
and 14.5 inches top to bottom in the middle
these numbers are including the glass covered
by the frame.

Any ideas on where I could get a replacement
or who might I ask about a replacement?

In the June 1980 Real Thrills Hot Rod Article Steve Arntz says it is an Exact reproduction of a 1967 windshield. That info might help with the pattern, but your best bet would be to contact

Let's decode that:

KVW 105 B2: not sure what that means.

Viracon: This mark identifies the manufacturer, by their name and/or logo (“the manufacturer’s distinctive designation or trademark”).

Safety Float: Often, the trademark name of the glass is present.

AS1: Not ASI. The AS number stands for American Standard, and is “AS” (or “American Standard”) followed by a number indicating the position in which the glass may be used, based on its optical quality. AS1 is the clearest glass (at least 70% light transmission), is laminated, and can be used anywhere in a motor vehicle (typically just the windshield)

M40: "The M number is unique to the manufacturer, so one an M number of M312 by one manufacturer could be different than glass labeled as M312 by another manufacturer. It identifies the glass construction, including the color and thickness."

DOT 129: :The DOT code (DOT number) is the letters “DOT” followed by a number that the Department of Transportation (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) assigns to the manufacturer of the glass. This is required by FMVSS205 section S6.2. If you have a DOT code, here's a page that lists all known DOT codes." DOT number search: DOT Number Database

Viracon shut down it's auto glass division in 2007, so finding cross-reference or application guide information is very difficult. Auto glass firms may have a cross-reference guide or on-line access to such information, but I couldn't find it. A better source may be those specializing in Cobras and parts, like Cobra Restorers or Finishline.

This is probably not of any value, as the Viracon M-60 is almost certainly a different windshield than your Viracon M40.

It's very likely that it's OEM Cobra (or a OEM replacement) for an original car. Places like Finishline have them.
