Quick Jack Help Needed for EM Cobra
I am ready to drill the holes in the rear of my Cobra for the rods for the quick jacks. EM provided a template to drill from, but as usual, the location is different from one side of the car to the other.
The center of the lower hole appears to be in line with the lower edge of the trunk. Is this correct? Also, I bought all 4 quick jacks from FinishLine and found out that 2 are shorter than the other 2. Do the short ones go on the front? Thanks for the help, Martin |
Martin,
I'm afraid my answer isn't going to help much, but here goes. My 1990s vintage EM had quick jacks on it when I bought it. As they were entirely cosmetic, they didn't make it go faster, and I injured myself on them several times, I took them off and filled the holes a dozen years ago. The only thing useful I can add is that because they were entirely cosmetic, you should be able to put them wherever they look good to you and can be securely mounted. You wouldn't want one to move when you run into it with your shin. |
