Need help with rebuilding a World Class T5z

I can't find the pin that goes into a 3/16 blind hole in the output shaft. The service manual lists the part number as 1352-043-006. It's listed as reference A13-11 in the attached exploded view.

This is not just a standard pin nor a roll pin. These come in some rebuild kits.

You have two choices: Call on Monday Borg Warner and see if they ship you one, depends on the reperesntetive they do that (don't ask how I know -hehe)
and/or
register here Vintage Mustang Forums and ask the boys. There are tons of dead T5's in that forum and might have a spare...

Good luck with your hunt!

Call this number on Monday:

866-253-0019. Ask for Tony. That's Astro Performance....they will be swimming in pins.

We had a World Class T5z fail twice and rebuilt it twice in a Mustang GT track car (~390HP at the wheels) before we gave up and called Blykins for a TKO-600. Just a thought.

Got my pin, which turns out to be a ball that locks the bearing race on first gear. Thanks to Brent Lykins for the help. Much appreciated.

Bill,

Nice to see that things are moving forward for you. Can't wait to see it when it is done.

Jim
