Tunable exhaust
Does anyone offer a tunable exhaust. It would be nice to have removable baffles. Or maybe a butterfly valve that allows the exhaust to flow straight through, or be forced through baffles...

I once saw a system with an easy open feature and a selection of baffles to tailor the sound. Unfortunately I lost its place on the web. I'd like to know the answer too.

Let's start with the end in mind: What are you trying to accomplish?

To be able to switch from loud as hell, to tame...the easier the transition, the better.

I've been looking a little more since this morning. One option is to have a sidepipe built with a V-clamp connection at one end (e.g., just before the turn out at the end). That would allow you to install any of the many types of exhaust inserts sold by the big parts houses. It might take some trial and error and cash to get the sound right, but it doesn't look too hard to do.

Depends on what you have. If you have a J-pipe - then is is not that complicated. You just shorten your J-pipe and put two of these, left and right with a T and a open down pipe in.

If you have four in four, you have to do surgery on your exhaust. The biggest problem is the ground clearance. Even with the steepest angle you losing 3 inches....

Super trapp
There is a exhaust end adjustable baffle called "Super Trapp".
It uses removable plates to add/remove silencing or back pressure. More plates less back pressure more noise...fewer plates more back pressure, less noise...something like that.
SuperTrapp: Performance Exhaust
Have seen Super-Trapp built into a removable exhaust tip...the assembly held in place on the exhaust end with springs...run it on the street, remove it for the track.
Look at MAECO motorsports. They used to sell a removable Super Trapp assembly that would fit into the tapered end of a 427 Cobra side pipe...held in place with a spring or two.
