Jeff,
Thanks, I believe the paint code is Glasurit MB124.00 I'm calling it Viking Blue.

DOORGUY 05-04-2017 08:09 PM

Dwight,

Funny you should ask. It's been there since December

I need to find an automotive paint supplier that can or has a way to make up some touch-up, Glasurit in our area is a not happening. Totally baffled the guys.

Mark.

Nice choice in colour!
Thanks for sharing

It is a nice colour, but then I'm a little biased (my 289FIA is painted in my interpretation of Viking Blue).
A 427 in that colour, while not unique, will be quite rare. Looking forward to following the build!

Cheers,
Glen

Mark,

Check with your SPF dealer, they should be able to hook you up with some touchup paint.

Jim

Doorguy,

Looking nice. a good paint job takes some time. I have been following some build threads and there is a lot more body work and prep required on these cars than one might think, and if you get that wrong it does not matter how good the person running the paint gun is.

Good luck with your build.

Jim

Sweet! Great color.

Dwight 05-05-2017 05:48 AM

Most paint supply stores have a gun that can read the paint on your car. It will read the paint fade so a touch it very close.

I took the trunk of a 11 year Cobra to the paint store to have the paint matched for a hard top. Dead on.

We can buy a small sample can for $5 that we use for touch up.

None of the shops in Reno have access, I'll go to my old standby San Leandro Color in the Bay Area.

Thanks all.

Mark
