The cover photo is Ken Miles in CSX 3002. I had a very well done aluminum replica of that car made by Hi Tech. Wow, to go back in time......

I love John Christy's writing. I think it may be what actually hooked me on Cobras as a youngster.
I made the mistake of letting my parents get me two periodicals. I believe they were both published by Hot Rod, and are both still in my nightstand to this very day. The first was the "Shelby Cobra/Mustang Guide" and "Carroll Shelby's Racing Cobra", both printed around 1985. Wonderful books. Great pictures. In fact, some of the ones in the article above I think are in them. Thanks for posting this and the links... I'll print them and add it to my collection! :) |

! I'm old enough to remember when they first came out. I remember watching a race in Europe on TV where the cobras were fast but caught on fire. Very exciting stuff at the time! |
