Cobra 30 CSX

Anybody know what the ID is of this Cobra? It's a RHD drive car, so I'm assuming it's a COB car.

....and no, it's not COB6008 :D

Cheers,
Glen

The COB means that it was originally made for sale in Britain so maybe some of the members from there can help you. I believe they also have a Cobra club there and you might see and if they do check with them.

It's a Hawk replica.

Glen, my man, where do you find this stuff?
You have a knack of finding all the nice ones.

I’ve no idea how you know that... but I’d never second guess you when it comes to this stuff.

Were they allowed to use the COB numbers for replicas. Original COB was for Cobras made for sale in Britain, COX was for sale in other countries and CSX was for sale here in the states.

Realistically anyone can use COB or CSX numbers for that matter. When placed on a replica, it has no real meaning and the COB/COX/CSX prefix is not assigned by a government agency nor is it trademarked to my knowledge. I can customize an old Chevette and assign "CSX 2000" to it. It doesn't mean anything.

Mark,

Removed due to the fact that I was not trying to start an argument as I only know what this state is like and not all of the others.

Any more information?

You can check U.K. registration plates online at the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) website: https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk

"30 CSX" is a Hawk 289FIA that was first road registered in July 2015. Engine is a gasoline-powered 4.7 litre V8 (289 cid) and the car is painted grey.

Mark,

Maybe in your state but not in this Republic. I know of more than one person who has had their titles pulled or gotten into trouble for using a CSX number on their Cobras.

Ron

Stop calling me Mark, my name is Adolph!(let's see who catches that gem!) Yes, misrepresenting to the DMV is not a good thing but the point is if fro example I resurrect Road Serpents, I can put CSX whatever on my MSOs and it will fly. If I am building a complete vehicle that requires a WMI 17 digit VIN then, no I can't do that.
