GM Rear Metric Calipers with E-brake INFO NEEDED

Last summer, when I bought my B & B Cobra, the previous owner had rear disc brakes installed, using the GM Metric Single-Piston Calipers.

As of now, I have no emergency brake, due to using the calipers that are on it now. I would like to know if anybody knows the years and application for the Rear Metric calipers with the parking brake provisions, so I can hook up my cables and have an emergency brake.

All info appreciated. I know someone knows the application and/or parts numbers for the calipers that I need.

I have a set of GM rear single piston calipers on my Ford 9" axle - installed them myself from a kit I bought (MGP, I believe EDIT: MBM). They're the 'large' calipers that preceded the 'metric' calipers, but I believe the designs are very similar. I do remember the rear caliper adjustments were a critical part of the installation, plus there are strong warnings that you need to use the e-brake on a regular basis or you will lose the function of the rear brakes. Hi Brian, I don't have the calipers that have provisions for the e- brake. what are the large calipers you used? Application?

I had 2 issues to deal with when installing mine:

I have a rear sway bar that interfered with the calipers, so I had to mount the calipers in front of the wheel, instead of the rear. That required me to use the left caliper on the right and vice versa.
I had to extend the connection from my e-brake handle to the cables. I suspect this was more to do with the way my car was built than anything wrong with the kit. I used a short piece of steel tubing, internally threaded 5/16" NF to make the connection.

MBM doesn't sell to consumers / end-users, but various dealers do. Here's one:

Other than MBM, kits like these are widely available (e.g. Jegs, Speedway, Summit, etc.), and many of them include brackets to fit most, if not all, of the different axle ends Ford used over the years.

I know Jegs lists a couple, one for staggered shock rear ends and one for non-staggered shocks.

Summit has a couple of Rear Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Kits ( https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...1626/overview/ https://www.summitracing.com/int/par...1627/overview/ ) but I can't tell the difference between them - likely the staggered / non-staggered issue. A phone call to Summit would sort that out quickly.

I think it's a cady part from the early 80's. Like an elderado?

They can be a pita to get adjusted to not have too much pedal free travel.
