Other British V-8 Sports Car. (Cool find)

Saw this on nat. news, then here's the local CL ad. I live 70 miles from this dealer. May just drive down just see these neat old car's. Always been a fan of these. https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/c...482517701.html

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Indeed Karl, The reason I liked these cars, one was Mark Donohue's (My hero) first race car. If he could make a winning race car out these, there had to be something there. We have a org. owner car (Never restored) just maintained here in my town, a lovely growl comes from it's pipes.

The Daimler Dart looks like the younger brother to the packard hawk. The styling is good if you squint a bunch, The tail lights may be the highlight of it. I really dig the baby hemi though!

In Afrikaans they would say it's "Mooi van lilikheid" roughly translated as "beautiful despite being ugly". I have always liked them and find them much better in the flesh.

Ah, if I only had the space, that could make for a fun year of multiple restorations

The British seem to have had a lingering fascination with oddly fish-faced cars like this 1961 Anglia and many others (one of my aunts had one just like this when I was a kid).

Even with the AC MKIV - IMO - they reshaped the Cobra body and lowered and flattened the snout opening to give it a more carp-like visage.

Daimler SP250 are awesome cars, they were actually used by the British police in the 60s. In the early 80s I worked at a car radio installation shop and installed a radio in an SP250, it was black and It had me mesmerized by the style.

Looking at the nat. news article, it tells the reason, this gentleman went to see the cars in the first place. A (injected) SP-250 Hemi motor that was in a sprint car! Beautiful looking piece, I don't see it for sale with rest of the piece's. @Blue66, you know it's funny you mentioned a Griffith, here in our little town, we have a gentleman, that brought one new (1965), the next year he brought a new (1966) Tiger, he still owns both of them. Quite a interesting gentleman.
