Have you seen an ERA in person yet? The proportions are very good and the details around the fenders, side sills, cockpit, etc. emulate the original Cobra very well.

Then there is the feel of the controls, rigid chassis, good ride and excellent handling manners that do not disappoint. Plus I'm a sucker for floor mounted pedals in a car like this! The ERA was the only replica that I have driven that feels like a vintage car (in a good way) from behind the wheel.

As Patrick said, the more you learn, the better and part of that process is hands on. Many of the differences in the replica options are visual or tactile and you can't discern that from a catalog alone. Finding the best option for YOU is the challenge. :)

There are no short cuts to fully understanding the differences. The manual is very good, but is more down in the technical weeds. Start with something more like this, and then work your way up: http://www.erareplicas.com/brochure/427sc.pdf and this http://www.erareplicas.com/427/427options.pdf Note that the latter price list is almost six years old, but still very informative.

Wait, that option list on the website is not current? But my budget...

Has he mentioned what the current wait time is for a car?%/ If you're serious about one, you should place a deposit down and get in line. It's fully refundable and you'll have plenty of time to change your mind and get your money back.

No Bob hasn't told me the wait time although I haven't asked. ERA is at the top of the list. I still threw on the list and planning to go to London.

The SPF is a very well built car, but the two points that, to me, are "deal killers" are the slant of the radiator and the pedal configuration. If I were one of the owners of the company, I would pull out all the stops to fix those two points. Surely there's a way.

Alright, I have contacted the manufacturers I am interested in to see if they will be in London. Waiting for one more response. I am getting excited about London after seeing the YouTube videos.
