How/Where Did You Mount Your Accusump (other brands)

I have had a complete Canton Accusump system for years, and now that I'm back amongst the living, and with a new 428, I want to install it. I assume,....I'll mount it in front of the engine where we have the most room. The firewall will have my oil puke tank, so that location it taken.

How and where did you mount your system ?
Plumbing, electronics, manual or electronic valves,...etc ?
Did you make your mounting brackets ?
What extras do you have ?

Please post pics, vids and give a complete full description.

Kevin,

The first photo is the 3-qt ACCUSUMP looking straight down along the front of the engine. It is mounted using the brackets supplied with the unit. The second photo is the outlet of the ACCUSUMP showing the pressure sensor (20psi I think - it's been 12 years) and the electric solenoid valve.

From the valve, the oil hose goes to the pressure gauge port in the block right above where the fuel pump used to go on my 460 - your FE may be different?

The wires from the solenoid go to ground on one side, the other to an ON/OFF switch on the dash, then to a 12V source.

In action, if I want the ACCUSUMP on, I simply switch the power on and let things take their own course. I always use it on any track; autocross or road racing. If the engine hasn't been started for a long time, I will use it to pre-oil before I hit the starter. It's nice to have a bit of oil pressure just before I crank it.

Before I turn the ACCUSUMP switch off, I rev the engine a bit to bring its oil pressure up. After a few seconds (maybe 20 seconds or so) I turn the switch off. This makes sure the ACCUSUMP is full of oil. Then I shut the engine off.
