Need Info...
I recently bought a Backdraft and I'm looking for build specs, ie: engine, trans, rear, etc. Here's what I have: VIN AA9BMAAHV41CN1911 The man I bought it from said it was build NO. 156 He didn't know anything about the engine or drive train. I contacted Backdraft in Boyton Beach, FL and they were unable to match any numbers or provide any info on the car. I am also unable to find out who was the owner prior to the man I purchased it from. Any suggestions of who I may contact to get any info about this car would be most appreciated.

Contact Reg Dodd in Boynton Beach Fl. He may have records that far back.

Info leads
Talked to Reg Dodd in Boynton Beach. Nice guy! He told me my BDR was build no. 151 (not 156) and it came into the California distributor in 2004. Unfortunately, that distributorship is no longer in business. He also gave me the name and phone number of Tom Carr who was the original owner. Does anyone know of him? His phone number is no longer in service. Mr. Dodd told me that the CA distributor mostly used the same shop (didn't know the name) for the engine builds. He said the engines were generally a 351W modified to whatever the owner asked for. Anyone know anything about what shop he is referring to? The block in my car has a casting mark on the front "Ford Racing", Victor Jr. Edelbrock aluminum heads, roller cam, rockers and Scorpion roller lifters with an Edelbrock AIR Gap aluminum intake. Originall it had a Holley 770 carb but the previous owner changed it to an EZ fast FI system. I changed it back to a Holley 750. Don't know what brand headers, they are ceramic coated. It's stroked to 418cu. in., has a Tremec 5-speed (I believe a TR600 but not real sure about that, may be a 500 ... going to check with Tremec) and a BMW Racing independent rear.

Sounds like a nice car!

Info
Thanks for the information ... Talked to Reg .. nice guy! My build is 151, not 156 as the previous owner stated but that is certainly no problem. Shipped into CA but that distributorship is no longer. Sent to a CA facility that did most of the work on BDR and had a 351w installed ... that's as far as he could go. Now I'm searching to locate that shop in CA that did the work for Backdraft.
