TH350 tranny problems - need help

Hi guys,
I use a chevy 350 engine with a TH350 tranny in my cobra. When I start the engine and start driving, all things are fine. After about 1 mile, the engine revs up and there's no more power from the tranny. So I stop the car, wait about 30 minutes and I can go for another mile until this happens again. If I pull the oil-stick, it Shows full.

Do you have any idea ? Isn't there enough oil in the tranny.....? What is the correct method to check the oill stand....?

Thanys,

Stephan

I assume you know to check the level while it's warm and running. Also shift it into every gear a couple times first. On Roadkill they had a problem like this and the cooler was plugged.
