Thompson accelerator nozzle plates
1 Attachment(s)
Took the plunge and installed, noticeably smoother tip in and better pull out of the hole. Probably reduces top end a touch due to a bit of air restriction, but with 540 odd HP that doesn't occur much, and when it does not for long...I went down to 25 on the front side, smooth as silk. Use nozzle type squirters, had to bend them slightly down to get them through the holes. They spray right on the back of the plates nice flat sheet of fuel...

The manufacturer claims that you can't fit them to shooter style nozzles.
Good to see you can, and good to hear of a happy result. Only gripe I have is what the part does to the signal at that area of the booster, and hence fuel distribution leaving the booster tail. Gary |
Good point

The nozzles really make them work, normal squirters are a bit of a hit and miss affair, some in the holes some out...the nozzles have to be carefully bent juuusssttt enough to pop through the holes, makes install easy as the whole thing is one unit once the nozzles pop through (per the instructions you no longer use the lower gasket... Thinking about it, I wonder why you wouldn't make the squirters spray more of a misty fan shape like the windshield washers on our Chevys? Steve H SPF 1764 |

The Thompson plate is closer to the discharge point and hence breaks up the fuel much better. Gary |
