Mechanic Needed

I recently purchased a Superformance Cobra with 351W engine.
It is leaking small amount of oil.
Can anyone recommend a mechanic near Walnut Creek, CA.
Thanks,
Dimitri

Most likely valve cover gaskets, really easy to change. Run your finger along heads i bet you find your leak: I got mine to finally seal up tighter than a drum using cork gaskets and 80062 permatex high tack sealer.

I also helps to use studs instead of bolts which allows you to place the gasket on the studs which keeps it in position while installing the valve covers. This also eliminates the possibility of bolts bottoming out appearing tight but not actually clamping.

Thanks for the information.
I will check the valve covers.

leaking oil

I to had a leaking valve cover aluminum head 351w turned out to be rear main seal and intake manifold. witch required removal of the distributor witch required a brass gear witch required to be timed witch took out the ring gear and starter. Now I work for the shop that did all the work. Good luck to you my friend my leak has been quite the journey. your friend Hauss.

If the leak is minor and not easily fixed, just live with it and put it down to the joys of owning a V8. Enjoy the car for a few thousand miles and see if the leak becomes worse.
The chances are quite good that a main seal fix might leak as well just adding to your frustration.
I bet more than 50% of us Cobra owners are living with oil leaks. (in our cars)

Of course if your car has a clutch and the leak is putting the clutch at risk - ignore this post.
