Moroso oil pan, temp sensor location?
Hi guys. Just connecting up the bits and pieces on my Pond FE. It arrived with a Moroso oil pan, the inverted T or kicked out style. I want to use my existing sender, which has a 5/8 UNF parallel thread. In addition to the drain, the new pan has two plugs front and rear on the upper faces, 1/4 and 1/2 NPT respectively. I can get an adapter for for the larger plug. My question is simply, are these two designed for a temp sender? Just seems to me that the movement of the oil might affect the reading, but can think what the rearmost one would other be used for, except to confirm oil level.

Use the 1/2 " hole with a red bush as long as it is below the full oil level. The senders are not so sensitive that they would pick up thst small varience.
