What shocks? No idea of what suspension I have.

Just bought this sight unseen and had it shipped here. Definitely needs brakes and shocks. One rear is completely blown. Thought it was Mustang suspension but number on shock comes back to 63-82 Corvette.
Car definitely has some mismatch parts so I'm not sure if I should go with same series shocks.
Also needs rotors and pads. Brakes are Wildwood.
Also needs brake rotors and pads front and back. Has two different front rotors!
Lets start at the back.

I would take shock off, measure open and closed dimensions and get good adjustable shocks to match those dimensions so at least you can tune the hardness and the handling to some extent. Also measure springs so you can calculate rate to help in shock selection.

Oh - and check that your current shocks aren't acting as the bump stops.

The shock has impact damage at the bottom?

I would check all the components around there and then take one of the shocks to an auto parts store and match it up with a high quality shock which has the same travel an compressed length. As Gary said that one that shows to have impact damage I would definitely want to look and see what caused that. It may have hit something or it could have been an old shock that the previous owner just stuck on there to get by until he sold the car. With the mismatch of parts I would go through the whole suspension and brake system before I trusted it very far.

Yes I searched that number and came up with the Corvette but this thing has some less than disireable shade tree engineering. I went ahead and bought so e cheapo Gabriel's just to see how they fit. Seem good.
