I have seen a couple at the track with that type of roll bar setup but not the angle they show on the end of it.

Must have been going for the CSX3178 look. (and not quite hitting the mark to say the least)
Funny story about CSX3178 and it's roll bar. I remember standing in front of CSX3178 at Monterey. While taking these photos I remember listening to a guy comment about about how it looked completely wrong. He commented on the roll bar and how "Shelby would be rolling over in his grave" if he would see an automatic trans in a Cobra. He even said something about how this was one of the ugliest replicas he had seen. The irony was too much for me to handle when the guy made a statement to the effect of, who would have put those ugly wheels on a Cobra anyway? I couldn't hold back at that point. I had to let him know that Carroll Shelby likely put those wheels on this car . . . after all, it was his personal car.
