AVON stencil for new tires
2 Attachment(s)
Picked up new Avon tires and a stencil set from a seller on eBay. Not bad for $20.00

Well done. You're going to like the change from those Dunlops which I never felt worked well on a light car.

Those AVONs are real sticky and throw rocks like mad. Better add some protection film if you don’t have it. They were transformative on my Kirkham.

Which parts of the car need the film and did you just go to a regular film installer and they custom cut/installed the film?

Get the Xpel Ultimate, it has the self healing feature, long life and best optical clarity. Basically at the very least you want to cover the lower half of the car from behind the front wheel well rearward. The rear fender well (front/rear) is especially vulnerable.

Yes, good advice. The side pipes pretty much protected the side paint from the front tires. It’s the rear that gets pummeled. The front of the rear well and the total exposed area behind the rear tires. There’s not much you can do about the collectors behind the front wheel, they’ll just get a nice patina.:)

Thanks, I'll contact some Xpel installers in Houston and see what they can offer. Did you get the front done at the same time?

No, didn’t bother with the front.
