New to the Cobra Club
Thanks for the add....
I just got a 1966 Cobra Roader by Street Beast. I got it from a guy who had it for couple of years as a father/son project and they got into new things and decided to sell. I love the stage it's at because I didn't want one as a start project. Not today. Maybe 10 years ago but I had not time. Retired from the Military but still working. So the car is about 70% done, I have everything to finish it. I don't have much questions now but just would like to know if there anyone that has a Street Beast? |

I too thank you for your service but I have to disagree with LMH most tpe A's are the first one"s to help when you have a problem.Furthermore if you do not like projects DO NOT BUY A COBRA. I"m just sayin. Welcome to the forum .:cool:

Welcome & again thank you for your service. I too brought my Classic Roadster at about 70% done, after it sat unfinished for 20+ years, great stage, you can make it your own, paint, int, motor, etc. I ended up with the Cobra i've dreamed about all these many years, and after 2 1/2 years its just days away from being road ready. As these boys have said, This club is the greatest for advice, parts (if needed), and just wonderful friendship's :) If you need anything, just ask. Cheers Tom.

That's awesome! Thanks Tom! I have read a lot. I am taking my time and learning from it. The one thing I am learning very fast is that some of stuff, just does not fit or align. Like the back lid. After I put the hinges inside the trunk and the brackets on the lid like they said to do with all the dimensions, it does not fit! lol I could not get in the trunk to see with the lid on because its so small but I took pictures and it is way off. I have to remove the brackets and move them left about an inch. Any recommendations for how to do this without filling my trunk space full holes until I get it to fit? Thanks again....and I agree, make it my own. I am sure yours is looking great! Thanks again!

Thank you Ron! I appreciate it. Although I am running into some quick stops I am enjoying working on this car. It is something I have wanted for many years and now I have one. at this stage it is great for me.

Hahah....ok! Sounds good. Thanks Hauss! That's the thing. I love projects and a DIY guy all my life. I will fix and work on almost anything. So I am loving this. Appreciate it.

Welcome to the madness, thank you for your service , and congratulations on your new ride. My best advice is to expect the unexpected at every stage of the build. I’ve been living the dream for only 2.5 months and I could write volumes on the subject matter. 😂. The good news is that I went for a test drive today and you will some day too!
