Pan gasket for Canton 15-680s

Mine is leaking at the back main, I’ve read that the four piece seal needs to be used, but also that the big blue one piece can also be used successfully (leak free)?

Is there a consensus?

Any tips on installing (on the car)?

I have both seals and an ARP pan stud kit, could go either way. One obvious issue is that the motor mounts will need to move off to get to the fasteners and to get the pan itself on and off, need to think a boy that one a bit...

Thanks
Steve H

Oil Pan Gasket

Went through this with a Backdraft and used the Fel-Pro blue one piece gasket and highly recommend. Like anything else, take you time, make sure the gasket seats properly, torque in a pattern, and do use a gasket sealant on the front and back. Order it from RockAuto and save money.

First time I did this, it was at a friend's house on a lift, rushed through it, and had leaks. Second time at home on jack stands and did it methodically. All is good.

Backdrafts- oil pan comes off like a old automatic transmission pan by undoing the bolts and not undoing anything else. There are no cross members, starters, or exhaust in the way. Pan came off in about 20 minutes.

Good luck.
