I don't subscribe either. Any way to post the article?? I have seen this car on display at the Petersen Museum and also at Super Car Sunday a morning cruise in. Bruce Meyers has shown up with some amazing cars. Csx2001 being one of them. Great to see true historical cars in action.

The link is not working? I am not a subscriber, I saw the print edition at work, and googled it, and I can view the article and photos on the WSJ website via that link.

I believe the WSJ story mentions Shelby building CSX2001. CSX2001 was shipped by AC Cars Ltd to Ed Hugus in PA to complete and then sold to its first owner. This car never went to Shelby's shop.

I'm guessing the article made references to things like "rare", "collection", and "dump truck full of money"...
