Windscreen wiper assembly...how to mount?

Just started looking at fitting my windscreen wiper assembly, and there's no information in my manual to help.
I'm assuming that the kit that I have is similar to at least some other replica manufacturers and is not unique to AP cars....so can anybody in the wider ALL COBRA TALK arena help with assembly advice?

For starters, how is the motor itself mounted? It's quite a heavy lump.

Here's what I have:

Glen,

Finally got around to removing my wiper motor, as it is just extra weight and I have no wipers. Mine was mounted on top of the driver's side footbox and it is heavy. If you look in this older photo when I still have the four barrel carb on you can see it sitting on the foot box looking beyond the air cleaner.

It was a messy removal, as the cable was saturated with grease, so if you do not have any directions, one that I can add is that you should grease the cable as you insert it into the tubes. My motor had a metal cradle that it sat in, with a bracket that held the motor in place. Looks like a PITA to install from my perspective.

Good luck with it and I look forward to seeing pictures and hearing curse words.

On an original car, the motor is mounted on the left hand foot box. The cable runs through the firewall, through the first wiper post and terminates at the second post. Seems like I remember the cable conduit is flared on each end and fits into the wiper post base. There should also be a flare nut on the motor where the conduit attaches and the cable runs inside. Yes, it’s all pretty greasy!
That’s probably enough to scramble your brain for now!

The wipers are cable driven. mount motor up under pass side dash. mount the wiper box in cowl loosly and cut and flare 3/8" fuel line to join them together, grease cable before putting it through brake tubes.

This is how ERA mounts the motor on the passenger footbox.

Thanks Bob. That helps me too.
Don't know why my AP manual doesn't cover it; it covers almost every thing else in sufficient detail.

Cheers,
Glen
