Did the original AC Bristol cars have a narrow trans tunnel, I assume shelby made the tunnel larger thus offsetting the seats and narrowing the foot box area to fit his engine/trans combo's. I look at kits and wonder why the tunnel still has to be so wide, seems like with a modern T5 the tunnel doesn't need to be so dam wide other then trying to make it look like an original cobra?

I assume to clear any engine and tranny combo. Mine has plenty of room....of course I am used to driving a Formula Ford so it is all relative.
