Hi Sag - welcome - yes it can be an eye opening experience.
Here in Cape Town we have two Cobra hire companies with anything up to 20 Cobras out on hire every day. I hear them driving past my house daily on their way to Cape Point (great Cobra drive) and often wonder how many of the drivers get converted to the Cobra dream.
Some clearly enjoy the power as you can hear them accelerate and slow down on the straight below me. (They are largely Backdrafts with Lexus V8 motors so just enough power to have some fun (about 300 hp) but not enough to end up in the sea next to the road, but they do sound great.)
