ERA 427 Barn find with less than 1000 miles.

I have a 427 ERA that has sat for the last 23 years untouched. It has a 427 side oiler and top loader 4 speed, Smith gauges and much more. The motor does turn over and the brakes are not frozen. It will need some love. $43,000 as is. Call me at 770-851-3585

Someone here might be interested ?

As a dealer (IE: Authentic Cobra Replicas, Emerson, GA), I believe Steve is trying to unbury himself from a deal gone bad. Sitting untouched for 23 years means the car needs to be completely taken down to the frame and each and every part will need to be checked, and/or rebuilt/replaced. More like $18,000-$22,000 if he is lucky. Hopefully he does not have that or more into the car, otherwise, he will be sitting on this for a long time.

Not at all Bill, I have several Cobras in stock and this car was built with some of the best parts, Smith gauges, Side oiler block, aluminum heads ect. It is a very nice car. If it does not sell, I will get to in time. No rush to sell.

Steve,
I have no doubt that you can rebuild the car, I've seen quite a bit of your work over the years

Sounds interesting Steve, good luck with it.

Steve just called me with the story on this one, very cool story and sounds like a diamond in the rough.
If your looking for a era 427 side oiler with a 4 speed and you can do an oil change, flush the fuel system, and work a few cleaning products:LOL: this could be a great deal.

One thing I do know is if Steve has to do the work (clean up etc) the car won't be offered for what he is asking now.:)

I know your a busy man Steve but hoping you can share the story here.
