 Action Cobra Watts Link
This self quarantine has given me a lot of time to upgrade the Arntz. I have been thinking about adding the Watts Link from ActionCobra.com for some time and would really like to know if any of you have tried it? A search of this site did not bring up any reviews.
When I hit full throttle, I can feel the rear suspension flexing enough to make me correct the steering. I have added trailing arms from the Jag hubs to the rear frame and that helps but does not eliminate the problem. It is a $805 kit and I am a little concerned that the extra unsprung weight may cause a worse ride on the rough roads that we run on rallies.

 Any advice will be appreciated.

I contemplated the kit for my Arntz also. I know he said he would have to adapt it to an Arntz. |

I installed Acton's watts link on my Unique's jag rear and have been very pleased. Locating the top of the jag hub really stabilizes the rear under heavy power application.
I also had a different watts link setup installed on an early ERA I owned years ago. Completely eliminated the axle hop that car suffered from. Both cars had high horsepower and sticky tires, which I believe overstresses the stock jag hub locating design. When that happens, the hub tries to rotate around the big lower link. A top link to control horizontal movement at the top of the hub solves that problem.

I am not familiar with the Arntz rear arrangement, but a watts link has worked well with the jag rear for both the Unique and ERA.

Following up on the concern about unsprung weight, my rear end could feel no difference in ride due to the watts link addition to my car's rear end. On either car. |

FWIW, that's Acton Cobra, not Action Cobra.
 | I like "action" better. I think Nick could even change his name to Nick Action . It has a ring to it, kind of like a 70's porn star's name. |

I can see the titles now..."NICK DOES NASHVILLE". "NICK ACTION IN.ACTION". "THE BIG TOOL". "DEEP SOCKET" |

Nick Acton is not to be trusted. He has stolen money from many on this forum. Do a search. |

So many great responses! Thank you all very much. The torque damper idea is really interesting and cheaper. One of my biggest concerns about installing the watts link, is that my sway bar would have to go somewhere else. And with it's size, i don't have another place to put it.
I have to study the geometry of the Mustang's suspension to figure out if the torque arm can work with the Jaguar hub's arc. I suppose it has to have some play to allow up and down movement, but how will it resist sudden thrust from the hubs twisting force. Is the upward angle the solution because the car squats under acceleration?

All the good reviews on Summit Racing make this sound promising.
