Fire bottle for a BDR?
I'm looking at installing a fire suppression system and I'm open for input. Advice? Pitfalls? My idea is to have both automatic and manual nozzles.

I did a fixed Halon system with nozzles in the engine compartment, driver's foot well and behind the dash. The actuation handle is on the dash within easy reach of the driver.

Your pic answers the question of hard lines or braided stainless which is much easier to me. Is that a -3 or -4 line?
I was thinking automatic nozzles in the trunk by fuel and battery and in cockpit/dash area and then manual for the engine compartment. Any thoughts?

I honestly don't remember the line sizes. Mine energizes the wholes system when I arm it. I'd imagine you could configure it any way you want. Just remember, more complexity increases probability of failure.

Depending on the type of system (gaseous vs AFF), and the size of the system, you may have 2 or 3 nozzles in which to place within the car. Personally, I prefer AFF, as gaseous does not do well in an open cockpit environment such as a Cobra.
For mine, I've placed one at the fuel cell, one on the firewall facing the top of the engine, and one over my shoulder to spray in towards the footwell area. The idea of having one is not to save the car, but to save yourself and perhaps your passenger. The fire suppression system gives you valuable extra time to get out of the car should you have a fire.
