Here's an Interesting Tool

I've been gapping plugs for 50 years by using that prongy thing that comes on the end of a little spark plug feeler gauge. Little did I know that I could piss away $109 on a tool that will do it for me. I gotta admit, it's a beautiful tool -- and the listing says it's the last one in stock. Ohhh - a shiny, new tool. Must resist urge to add one to my already over-stuffed tool chests.

Pretty tool, but I would expect it to OPEN or close the gap for that price.
I would rather gap my way, and also measure the plug resistance with an ohmmeter before installation. I have seen a few new spark plugs O/C out of the box.
Nothing worse than chasing a misfire after new spark plug installation.

Then you want the Deluxe version. That's an extra C-note.

Saw Frank in concert @ the Fillmore West (Seattle) 1974. Yes, RIP Mr. Zappa

Looks to me like a little vise that compresses the electrode from the end. But I was taught that wasn't the way to gap a plug, you should bend it from the side so the gap remained parallel. And you still have to insert a feeler gauge? I'd think for that kind of money you should be able to punch in your desired gap and the tool would gap itself.

Only if I can buy at Harbor Freight for $1.59...

"I stiffened my thumb and applied circular motion on her sugar plum" Frank had a range of music from the hilarious to very complex orchestral pieces. Miss that talent.
